Co-ed Recreational Softball Club

One of On Top of the World’s (OTOW) sports club’s main goal is just to have fun! On any given Saturday morning, the OTOW Softball Field becomes a place of laughter and camaraderie as the Co-ed Recreational Softball Club gathers for a game of softball. This club isn’t just about the sport, it’s about fostering a welcoming environment where anyone can join, play, and relive the joy of playing.

Founded on the simple idea of enjoying the game without any strict rules or obligations, this co-ed recreational softball group meets at 9:30 am every Saturday at the OTOW Softball Fields. The club is open to anyone without needing a prior commitment or any certain skill level. It’s all about having fun, plain and simple.

The Co-ed Recreational Softball Club makes sure everyone can join in by providing equipment and supporting those with different physical abilities. For example, if the idea of running is holding you back, they’ll provide runners. If you want to play, they’ll make sure you have everything you need. The Co-ed Recreational Softball Club is all about having fun and being inclusive. No pressure, no stress about skills – just a group of people meeting up to enjoy playing softball.

If you’re interested in joining, Chris Lopez, the club coordinator, encourages you to show up on a Saturday morning around 9:15 am. Get ready to stretch, form teams, and have a blast playing. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned player or someone who hasn’t played in years; this club promises a fun experience filled with laughter and friendship.

In a world often focused on winning and competition, this club stands out, highlighting the joy of playing, the importance of community, and the love for a game that brings people together. Many members harbored a love for softball or baseball during their youth, and this recreational team provides a perfect avenue to reignite that passion. It’s not uncommon to hear phrases like “I haven’t played in 30 years.”

The most compelling aspect of this co-ed recreational softball team is its emphasis on fun and inclusivity. There’s no pressure to commit, no stress about skill levels, and no competitiveness – just a group of people coming together to share in the simple joy of playing softball.
