Our very own Director of Golf Maintenance Operations, Andrew Jorgensen, was awarded the most prestigious award from the Florida Turfgrass Association back in August 2020, the Wreath of Grass. This award honors members who have had an outstanding commitment to the turfgrass industry throughout their careers.
Jorgensen, A Florida Turfgrass Association member and past president, spent the morning in Orlando, Florida, to receive his official award and be recognized for his achievements.
Despite his already notable success with the Florida Turfgrass Association, Jorgensen is involved locally and serves with Leadership Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership as the Vice-Chair. He also serves the University of Florida Institute for Food and Agriculture Sciences Plant Science and Research and Education unit in Citra, Florida advisory board.
When Jorgensen can’t be found around the golf course, he is wherever help is needed. He benefits all OTOW residents who utilize our golf courses due to his commitment to excellence and turf maintenance details.
