Candler Hills Golf Club LPGA Head Golf Professional, Denise Mullen, appeared on TV20’s summer golf special “Pinson vs. The Pro” last night, airing on the 6:00 news. In the new summer “tee time” series, sports reporter Chris Pinson visits various North Central Florida courses and challenges the golf pros to a one-hole match to see who can earn the lowest score.
For the faceoff, Denise selected the pair to play the beautiful par-3 17th hole.
Denise gave Pinson some tips for how to play the par 3, saying, “avoid the bunkers you can see facing in front of the green and there is always an open area to the left that you can hit the green, so why take the risk factor into it.”
Denise has worked at On Top of the World Communities for ten years; under her leadership, she has spearheaded a Ladies Only Clinic held every other week and was instrumental in fostering a relationship with the First Tee of Greater Ocala. Candler Hills Golf Club is now officially recognized as a site for hosting LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Classes, where Denise is the program’s site director.
