On Top of the World’s Circle Square Cultural Center Reopens Its Doors to Residents

The beautifully renovated Circle Square Cultural Center held an exclusive open house for On Top of the World residents on October 9, 2018.

Ocala, Fla. –Circle Square Cultural Center, Ocala’s largest entertainment venue was recently remodeled, expanded and given a brand new exterior. The grand reopening was held on Tuesday, October 9th exclusively for the residents of On Top of the World. The expansion included the addition of a porte cochére with beautiful brick pavers for pick-up/drop-off, updated restrooms, two (2) built-in bars and an expanded pre-function area. The lobby was completely updated with new a fresh look and elegant décor. Residents were able to tour the entire facility, inside and out.

Residents experienced the new porte cochére in front of the Cultural Center, which is a great addition for those cold or rainy nights. We’d be remiss not to mention that the venue now has a zero-entry walkway for ease of entry for those who are unable to negotiate stairs. Attendees were also able to walk inside to see the new, built-in bars on both sides of the pre-function area and walk through the updated restrooms. Residents inspected the ballroom, which had a minor facelift as well; a recurring presentation of the construction progress of the building played on the large screen on either side of the stage. Residents were even allowed backstage to see the extravagant dressing rooms and new catering kitchen, an area typically reserved only for entertainers or hosts of the venue.

“The residents are so excited about seeing how lovely the theatre is and how much more spacious it is,” said Jo Salyers, the General Manager of the Circle Square Cultural Center. “They’ve missed the shows and now they’re ready to party!”

Attendees could be heard saying things like “this is so elegant,” “it feels like we’ve made the big time,” “the facility was already beautiful and now it’s even more beautiful. I can’t wait for the first show.” All in all, the event was a success and it seems like the renovation was as well.

In addition to world-class entertainers, the venue is also available for private events, conventions, expos, and can accommodate 930 people theatre-style or 630 people for banquet events.
